Ken says: With the storms we have had in the last week the lake is filling up fast. As of midnight the lake level stands at 595.72 with the crest coming at 596 on April 15th. This is still about 4 feet below summer pool. Water temp. was 54 yesterday on the south end. North end has muddy up some with the rain but still is fishable with some nice fish being caught in the coal shaft bridge area. The south end has remain the same as of water color but with all three gates open it will pull the stained water south by midweek. The fish are still out in the main lake on points and ledges in about 12-15 fow. These fish will suspend over the drop at midday with full sun in about 4-10 fow. So spider rigging is a good way to catch these fish on sunny days. On cloudy days break out the jig poles and go to the bottom and reel up a foot or so and you will find them there. The jig under cork bit is still there but not as consistent as it was. When the crappie come in this time they will be there until they spawn. Then move back the same way they came in and the post bite will begin.. tight lines
